Video streaming test feature is designed to measure video quality of experience on smart mobile device connected over 2G/3G/4G/5G/Wi-Fi networks by calculating key performance indicators for video QoE parameters such as Launch Time, Load Time, Stalled Time and Total Video Play Time. Our solution is highly cost effective (check our prices) and no need to purchase additional hardware when compared to other video streaming performance testing tools.
Run on demand video testing (supports YouTube) on one or more Android devices concurrently.
Schedule periodic 24/7 testing on one or more Android devices.
Group many Android devices to configure RantCell cloud as video streaming load testing tools, Web based analysis tool.
IUT (Item under test) can be smart phone or 3G, 4G, 5G base station to evaluate performances of ITU.
Launch time
Load time
Stalled time
Stalled count
Total video play time
Video resolution
Video performance rating
The time taken by the player to launch web view with 2main frame.
Calculation: Launch time = Total time taken between Initializing to initialized time
The time taken for the player to load the video resources into web view.
Calculation: Load time = Total time taken between loading to loaded time
Stalled time is total time on which user experienced video stalling while video playing.
Calculation: Stalled time: Sum of the total time for which video stalled between video starts playing to video end
Stalled count is the number of times user experienced video stalling while playing.
Calculation: Stalled count: Sum of the total video stalled count between video starts playing to video end
Actual elapsed time is the amount of time taken to play the video from start to end.
Calculation: Total elapsed time: Sum of initial buffer time, launch time, stalled time and actual video length
By using below algorithm, RantCell rates the video performance into three categories. Video performance rating = (Load Time + launch time + stalled time) * 100 /Actual video length
1. Good
2. Fair
3. Poor
